Defender 3000 Series features a simple, yet rugged tubular-frame base design and indicators with 4 function keys, LCD display with 3-color backlight, built-in rechargeable battery operation (standard in stainless steel models, optional in ABS models) and flexible mounting capabilities.
Durable
Defender 3000 features a 304 stainless steel platform and, depending on the model, either a painted steel tubular frame, column and indicator bracket, and aluminum load cell or an IP66 stainless steel frame and load cell for washdown protection. When equipped with a rechargeable battery, the Defender 3000 offers more than 100 hours of use or five days of continuous operation. A large, back-lit display and basic counting mode allow for simple operation for everyday industrial applications. The new checkweighing mode makes the 3000 a good choice for packaging and food processing.
Defender 3000 is offered with NTEP/Measurement Canada or OIML/EC Type approvals (depending on region). Available models come in a range of weighing capacities to suit your needs – from 30lb/15kg to 600lb/300 kg (depending on calibration unit used).
For Advanced Applications
For more sophisticated weighing and counting applications, the multi-functional
OHAUS Defender 5000 will simplify even your complex operations. It comes equipped with high-capacity storage and advanced features such as maximum configurability print output, GMP/GLP data output, library/user management, and multiple connectivity options.
Defender 5000 meets the needs of practically every industrial weighing and measurement application with modes for parts counting with APW optimization, check weighing or check counting, percent weighing, and dynamic weighing or display hold. Many application modes eliminate the need for manual calculations.
Defender 5000 bench scales come equipped with GLP/GMP output capability with time/date for result traceability.
Defender 5000 models include a micro SD card for storage of up to 50,000 items and 1,000 user profiles. Weighing results can also be stored in Alibi or regular format, addressing all your data storage and transfer needs.
Defender 5000 features multiple connectivity options for data transfer and storage. Weighing results can be easily exported through the standard RS232 port, an optional second RS232, RS485 or USB device, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth interfaces. Discrete I/O and analog loop (mA or VDC) options are also available on all models.
Defender 5000 can be plugged into a power outlet or can run on the optional rechargeable battery for added convenience.
Defender 5000 bench scales include an Intuitive SmarText 3.0 interface that makes them easy to set up, configure and operate. Easy-to-follow on-screen prompts guide you through set up and operation. The large backlit display and alpha-numeric keypad offer a user-friendly experience. Results are easy to read on the Defender’s large, high visibility display, even in bright sunlight.
The SmarText interface can guide you through all of Defender’s unique and advanced features. With five soft keys, SmartText 3.0 makes an advanced scale very simple to use, and greatly reduces time typically needed for training operators.
Defender 5000 comes in a range of models up to 600 kg/1000 lb weighing capacity, 5 g/0.05 lb readability and up to 800 mm x 600 mm (31.5 in. x 23.6 in.) platform size.
For Complex Applications and Harsh Work Environments
OHAUS Defender bench scales are durably constructed to withstand harsh industrial
environments. All Defender scales feature sturdy stainless steel platforms and the washdown models also feature stainless steel load cells and frames. For the harshest work environments, where corrosive chemicals are present,
OHAUS Defender 6000 offers IP68 immersion/IP69K washdown protection, a 316 stainless steel base and hermetically sealed load cell.
Defender 6000 Washdown Bench Scales can stand up to high pressure, high temperature and harsh cleaning agents for sanitary cleaning in any environment. Durable Defender 6000 is NSF certified, supporting HACCP systems.
Defender 6000 is available in weighing capacities up to 150 kg/300 lb weighing capacity, 10 g/0.02 lb readability and 500 mm x 400 mm (19.7 in. x 15.7 in.) platform size to suit your commercial needs.
